My name is Fred Reed managing partner of Oswego County Today. I have been with Dot Publishing, Inc. (Parent Company of Oswego County Today) for 10 years coming up in November. I have seen our readership family grow over these 10 years. I want to take a moment and thank our readers for their support. I also want to add, thank you to our sponsors. Without their continued support over the years we could not pay our dedicated reporters, build better website and server.

We have done this with the hard work from employees past and present. Our supporters, large and small have been a big part of our growth, including, Longley Dodge, Pathfinder Bank, Sugar Funeral Home, Foster Funeral Home, Par-K, Bosco and Geers, St. Lukes, Ontario Orchards and Rudy’s Lakeside.

We don’t need to have a buy local campaign just take a moment and thank our supporters, without them Oswego County Today would not be a free publication for our readers.

Besides CNYAlive.com, we are not associated with any other media, paper, online or on air, we are locally independently owned.

  2. For those of us who DO buy local, we have used the services of many of your supporters…ESP. Rudy’s/Bosco’s/Ontario Orchards/and our own bank, Pathfinder…the other sponsors are utilized by several of our friends, and if and when we need what they have to offer, we will certainly consider them.

    At one time or another, we have advertised on your site (although our business is extremely small and limited in our advertising budget) because we DO support the local media for truthful reporting, well-written, and timely! How much more timely can you get than almost immediately (unlike print that doesn’t have that benefit).

    Over the years, I have too many reporters, advertisers, and contributors to thank for what you do! Steve/Luella/Nicole/you, too, Fred…even all the way back to Dave B.

    I only hope you are not considering closing your doors (site) any time soon. I visit every day, sometimes more than once. You keep me abreast of obituaries, anniversaries, and the best places to be entertained.

  3. I agree with the previous writer. I too routinely visit the local businesses and buy local from these reputable local businesses. I also visit your site daily and respect the fact-based reporting your site provides. No spin, no affiliation, just the news. Thanks!
