Lake Ontario report
According to Capts. Todd & Robin Sheltra of Strike Zone Charters:
We have had some interesting weather this week. Rain, storms, wind and even a few water spouts. We have, however, been out every day chasing brown trout, lake trout or anything else that will bite. There has been limited salmon activity, so we have chased everything else to fill the cooler.

According to Capt. Tom Burke of Cold Steel Sportfishing:
Still picking away at them! Lots of meat, a few on spoons and a fly bite or two mixed in.

According to Capt. Andy Bliss of Chasin’ Tail Adventures:
We are starting to see some darker fish and they will start staging soon enough. We have been fishing deep as the inside water temperatures are not consistent with the varying wind conditions this week. One more month and we will be back in the river.

According to Fat Nancy’s Tackle Shop:
Reports coming in this morning indicate kings are being caught east of the nuclear plant with some being reported in Mexico Bay. Water depth has been 130-160 feet.

Oswego River report:
The water flow fluctuated between 600 and 1700 cfs this week. The current flow is 1130 cfs this morning. Anglers are continuing to look for walleye with stickbaits and jigs suggested baits. Bass are responding to crayfish and tube jigs.

Notice: There are mandatory personal flotation device (PFD) zones on the river. Salmon River report:
According to the Douglaston Salmon Run:
There were a few anglers who tried their hand on the Run throughout the day yesterday, but the first salmon of 2020 award remains unclaimed. We will continue to monitor activity and announce when the first fish is caught. As we move toward the weekend, weather will become hot and humid, with generally sunny skies and a few afternoon clouds tomorrow. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. The current water flow remains at 185 cfs with 240 cfs at Pineville.

Oneida Lake report:
This week has been a bit up and down with fishing considering the changeable weather we have had. Conditions have settled down with temperatures in the 80s and very spotty showers or storms over the next few days. Look for walleye in 15-25 feet of water with some activity reported in more shallow water along the weeds with blade baits and spinner baits. Anglers are also finding a few perch and bass are taking stickbaits and jigs in shallow water.

Sandy Pond report:
There is not a lot of activity on the pond this time of year. Anglers might try stickbaits and jigs for walleye and spinner baits and rubber worms for bass along the weed beds.
