On 6/20/08 at 6:43 p.m., Kyle L Pierce, 19, of 149 Oswego River Rd., Phoenix, NY was operating a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle north on CR 6 in the town of Schroeppel when the vehicle exited the east side of the road, striking the side of a ditch and ejecting him off. Mr. Pierce was taken by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He was ticketed for Driving out of Class and Speed Not Reasonable.On 6/21/08 at 6:00 p.m., a 16 year old male residing in the Town of Hastings was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor and Unlawful Operation after the investigation into a mva in which he took his parents vehicle without permission and rolled it, with a passenger under the age of 17. He was issued an appearance ticket, returnable to the Hastings Town Court on 7/14/08.
On 6/22/08 at 12:21 p.m., Clarence L. Leonard Jr., 66, of 6 CR 33, Central Square, NY was operating a 1997 Chevrolet northeasterly on Holst Rd. in the Town of Constantia when the vehicle failed to keep right around a corner and struck a 2007 Dodge pick-up traveling southwest, driven by Michael D. Kovaleski, 41, of 109 CR 65, Bernhards Bay, NY head on. Mr. Leonard was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Mr. Kovaleski’s passengers, Kally Kovaleski, 38; Steve Kovaleski, 15 and Kristie Kovaleski, 9 were all taken by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Failure to keep right and illness seem to have been contributing factors.
On 6/22/08, Thomas E. Dubois, 40, of 70 Mount Pleasant Rd., Fulton, NY was arrested at 1:15 a.m. for Driving While Intoxicated; Aggravated DWI ( BAC of .18 or greater) and Failure to Keep Right during a STOP DWI Patrol that was conducted on CR 6 in the Town of Volney. Mr. Dubois was reportedly observed crossing the center painted yellow lines initiating a traffic stop. He was released on UTT’s, returnable to the Town of Volney Court on 6/30/08.
On 6/24/08, Sean D. Obey, 20, of 5452 Baldwin St., Brewerton, NY was arrested at 12:07 p.m. based on a bench warrant issued by the Village of Central Square Court charging him with False Inspection Certificate; No Safety Glass and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. Mr. Obey was arraigned in the Village of Central Square and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500.00 cash or $1000.00 bond. He is due back in V/O Central Square Court on 7/9/08.
