Fields Fill Out For Super Dirt Week Championships

BIG-BLOCKS MODIFIEDS:
Matt Sheppard, Billy Decker and Max McLaughlin all took home wins in the Camping World Friday Night Lights Billy Whittaker Cars 200 Big-Block Modified Triple 30s, rounding out the top 30 starting spots for Sunday’s NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week finale at Oswego Speedway.

358 MODIFIEDS:
Canadian Mat Williamson and Australian Peter Britten made late race passes to score wins in the Pullen Truck Center 358 Modified Twin 25s that rounded out the first 30 spots for Saturday’s Great Outdoors RV 150 Championship.

SPORTSMAN MODIFIEDS:
For the second year in a row, Dave Marcuccilli paced the Sportsman Modified Time Trials at the Oswego Speedway, securing his spot on the pole of the NAPA Super DIRT Week DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Chevrolet Performance 75 Championship. Marcuccilli was one of six New York natives to lock in to Sunday’s Championship event during Time Trials

Then in the evening, for Camping World Friday Night Lights, the Sportsman Modifieds took center stage first with four 15-lap qualifiers transferring the top four of each into Sunday’s Chevy Performance 75 Championship. Of the six drivers locked in from time trials, Rocky Warner was the only one to assume his starting position from the front row. Dave Marcuccilli and Adam McAuliffe opted for the rear of their qualifiers, while Matt Farnham, Glenn Forward and Kevin Root did not take the track at all.

Tyler Trump, Ron Davis III, Connor Cleveland and Alex LaJoie locked into spots seven through 10 in Sunday’s Chevy Performance 75, which now was 22 spots set.

PRO STOCKS:
The DIRTcar Pro Stocks took the track for the first time with practice laps on Friday morning. Kenny Martin Jr ran the fasted lap with a 24.804, followed by Pete Stefanski, Kenny Gates, Jason Crobin, Dave Bissonnette and Rob Yetman.

Super DIRT Week resumes on today (Saturday, Oct. 7) with Pro Stock Time Trials and Last Chance Qualifiers for all divisions before the 358 Modified Great Outdoors RV 150 Championship.
