On Saturday, (Oct. 28), The Oswego Tier II Travel team sponsored by the Oswego Sub Shop defeated The Syracuse Blazers 12-2.

The Blazers got on the board early with Kyle Debejian scoring just 16 seconds in on a clear breakaway, but The Sub Shop controlled the game from there.
Connor Morgia opened the scoring for Oswego at the 11:50 mark on an unassisted shot from the point.
Morgia was then involved in the next goal assisting on a nifty shot from Brayden Miller that beat Blazers Goalie Kali Van ( 23 saves).
Less than two minutes later at the 8:27 mark Miller notched his second goal with an assist coming from Mason Kurilovitch.
Oswego got its fourth and final goal of the period when Eric Mashaw beat Van to make it 4-1 Oswego, assists went to Miller and Duncan Baker.
Logan Crannell opened the 2nd period scoring at the 13:41 mark on a nice 2 on 1 play where Ian Cady fed Crannell in front to make it 5-1. Oswego continued to add to its lead in the second period Joe Brodeur scored at the 11:11 mark with assists coming from Baker and Riley Wood.
Logan Crannell scored at the 10:48 mark with assists from Jordan Caroccio and Louie Roman.
Brayden Miller completed his hat trick with a goal at the 5:10 marki of the 2nd, assists came from Mia Fierro and Brodeur.
Oswego closed out its five goal period with an unassisted tally coming from Ian Cady at the 4:24 mark.

While not tested often in this contest, Oswego Goalie Keegan Finch made his best save of the day, stopping a breakaway attempt from The Blazers Debejian midway through the second period – Finch finished with 10 saves.
The Blazers changed goalies for the final period and Oswego took 17 shots on Ethan MacKenzie, he stopped 14.
Louie Roman opened the 3rd period scoring – unassisted, with just over 4 minutes remaining in the period.
The Blazers added a goal with just 2:31 remaining, but Roman lit the lamp for his second goal with 1:06 left, with linemates Cady and Crannell assisting and Cady added the final goal with 19 seconds left , assists to linemates Roman and Crannell.
Coach Ben Miller praised the teamwork shown by his squad saying, “the nice thing about a win like today is that everyone contributed, most of our goals were assisted, and everyone worked hard on defense to protect our goal.”
On Sunday Morning The Sub Shop Peewees battled rival Skaneateles at the Anthony J Crisafulli Rink. The Sub Shop again came out on top, this time in a much closer contest 3-2.
Once again the Oswego side gave up an early goal in the 1st when Skaneateles’ Jamie Gipe beat Oswego Keeper Bradley Livesey. Skaneateles added its second goal at just 35 seconds into the 2nd period to go up 2-0.
Livesey held strong the remainder of the game (23 saves) and the Oswego offense was brought to life on a power play goal by Connor Morigia with 8:31 remaining in the 2nd. Morgia’s shot was deflected in front by a Skaneateles defenseman and found its way past Garrett Clark (23 saves)

Brayden Miller scored a beautiful backhanded goal unassisted at the 4:18 mark to knot the score at two, Miller was able to enter the zone and skate past both Skaneateles defensemen before sliding it past the sprawling Skaneateles goalie
With 2:49 left in the 2nd Oswego took the lead for good when Joe Brodeur finished a nice pass from Miller on a 2on1 to make it 3-2 Oswego.
Both teams had chances in the third, but both teams goalies were up to the challenge and the game ended at 3-2. Binghamton for a contest this Saturday & return home to face Clinton at 11
Coach Miller said that he was proud of the effort of each of his skaters “as they all dug down deep and worked together to fight off a very good Skaneateles team”
The Sub Shop Peewees travel to Binghamton on saturday and return to The Crisafulli Rink for a 11 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 5) game versus Clinton.
