The following notice has been posted for Lake Ontario waters:
Remember the area around the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Facility is off limits to boating. The restricted area stretches 1,000 yards offshore and extends from the Alcan plant to the Sunset Bay area along Lake Ontario, east of the city of Oswego.

According to Larry Muroski of Larry’s Oswego Salmon Shop:
The water level is back up to just over 4,000cfs. All areas along the river are fishable but the most activity seems to be from the Utica St. bridge north to the harbor. Anglers are finding brown trout, steelhead and a couple of Atlantic salmon have been reported. Suggested baits are stickbaits, worms, minnows, egg sacs, woolly buggers, pink worms and nightcrawlers. A few bullhead are still being taken at Wright’s Landing with leeches and worms. Bluegills are active in Three-Mile Creek at the culvert pipe taking spikes and minnows. Bullhead can also be found here at night and at Ox Creek.
Lake Ontario report:
Saturday the wind was not favorable for lake fishing. Sunday the weather did improve some and a few anglers reported some brown trout activity along the shoreline particularly to the east of the harbor. The lake level is low so use caution when trolling along the shoreline. Applications such as Rapalas, Thundersticks and spoons are working well with black/silver the suggested color combination.
Mexico Bay report:

Windy, rainy, colder, and miserable Saturday, with a little less miserable Sunday, made for a tough fishing weekend. Â The Oswego Harbor presented some good catches for the few boats that fished Saturday. On Sunday conditions improved and brown trout fishing was good from Oswego well into Mexico Bay. It appears that the browns have wintered well with some chunky fish coming to the net.
Salmon River/Pulaski Area report:

We still have fish in the river and each day more and more drop backs are being caught. With the low water and nice weather the fishing pressure has increased. Anglers having the most success are getting on the water early and covering lots of water. With the low water level, the drop backs have been holding in the heads of the deeper pools. Suggested fly patterns: Glo-bugs, estaz eggs, sucker spawn, woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches, bunny leeches and marabou streamers. Â Egg sacs, night crawlers, trout beads and pink worms are working for those anglers float fishing or bottom bouncing.
According to the Douglaston Salmon Run:
Fishing continues to be great on the run. Anglers are reporting Atlantics caught each and every day! The weather this week should be steady which is keeping the fishing consistent. Beads and pink worms are still the bait of choice.

Bullhead action remains very good in the estuary of the Salmon River. Worms and leeches seem to be the best choices for bait. Lots of dropback steelhead can also be found in the deeper pools in the river taking eggs and worms. The brown trout bite is picking up in the lake in 8-10 ft. of water along the shoreline.
Oneida Lake report:
The cooler temperatures have slowed some of the action on Oneida Lake. Anglers in the Toad Harbor area are finding some crappies on small minnows. Look for panfish in the bays and marinas and Big Bay is producing bullheads on worms and leeches.

The pond water level remains low but anglers are making the best of it. The perch bite has been good using minnows and bluegills are taking small jigs tipped with minnows under a bobber. The crappie action seems to have slowed down significantly
