The following notice has been posted for Lake Ontario waters:
Remember the area around the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Facility is off limits to boating. The restricted area stretches 1,000 yards offshore and extends from the Alcan plant to the Sunset Bay area along Lake Ontario, east of the city of Oswego.

Oswego River report:
According to Larry Muroski of Larry’s Oswego Salmon Shop:
The water level has been running between 6,000-8,000cfs for the last couple of days. Look for brown trout, steelhead, rainbows and Atlantic salmon from Utica St. to the harbor area. Nightcrawlers, leeches and stickbaits are working well. Walleye are active near the railroad bridge and sheephead are active throughout the river.
Bluegills, bullhead and crappies are active in Ox Creek and Three-Mile Creek is producing northern pike and blue gills.
Lake Ontario report:
There were good reports from anglers on Lake Ontario this weekend. The brown trout bite was active along the shoreline in up to 20 feet of water and some nice sized ones were caught. The deeper depths, 100 – 150 feet, were producing lakers, steelhead and a few salmon. Stickbaits off planer boards and spoons such as Michigan Stingers and Dreamweavers were working well.
Mexico Bay report:

Weekend westerly winds churned the near shore waters providing ideal brown trout fishing conditions and many anglers had some real dandy catches. There was an early bite with the Ford Shoals and 4 Mile Point areas serving up some great action. As the winds diminished and seas calmed the clear water returned and Monday morning saw some boats hitting the Nine Mile area with good results. Smithwicks, M. Stingers and Dreamweaver Super Slims were good choices of bait.
Salmon River report:
As happens about this time every year, there is very little to report from the river. Most of the drop backs have returned to the lake so there is not much activity.
Pulaski Area report:

The weather has been more agreeable for lake fishing this week with light winds. The brown trout bite continues to be good in depths up to 40 feet of water. Look for lakers and salmon in the deeper depths, 105- 130 feet of water.
Oneida Lake report:
The walleye fishing on Oneida Lake is picking up. The deeper areas around Lewis Point and Messenger Reef are producing fish. Jigging with nightcrawlers, spinners and stickbaits are suggested applications.
Look for pickerel in more shallow depths along the shoreline and bluegills in the Big Bay area.
Sandy Pond report:

The walleye bite has been good on Sandy Pond with worm harnesses and stickbaits. Perch and crappies are taking minnows and northern pike are responding to large shiners.
