The city of Fulton is recognizing this week as Salvation Army Week. To observe the week, the city entered a mayoral proclamation into the official minutes of the Fulton Common Council meeting May 6.
Having kicked off Friday and continuing through Christmas Eve, the Fulton Salvation Army has launched its annual Red Kettle Campaign. Captain Kevin Brennan said that the donations through the kettle campaign are used primarily to provide a bright Christmas to those who may not have one otherwise.
Even though the Red Kettle Campaign is conducted during the holiday season its funds are stretched to help those in need all year round.
