The students and seniors have been writing to each other twice a month this school year getting to know each other, and talking about everything from hobbies to current events. The pairs recently met face to face in the culmination of a year long pen pal program called KPS Connections.

Residents of Bishop’s Commons and Riley School first graders from Stacy Devendorf’s class shared their third and final cup of tea with each other as the group of seniors and children learned and experienced some lessons taught by Greg Mortenson in his NY Times best seller “Three Cups of Tea.”
A select group of young musicians in Oswego, who continue their learning through the summer with instructor Evelyn Baer at Midstate Music, visited Bishop’s Commons recently to share the music they have learned over the past few weeks.
Bishop’s Commons hosted its third annual back to school fashion show. It’s a wonderful experience when young children and our residents are together making connections, one of the show’s organizers pointed out.
