Accounting Student Brings Home Prize in National Competition
First, SUNY Oswego senior Brittany Vetter competed with top accounting and finance students across the country to win a berth in Beta Alpha Psi’s Project Run With It competition.
Then her team triumphed, bringing another honor — and a $1,000 prize — to the award-winning Oswego chapter.
It was a perfect day for a picnic.
Flint was hired in 1977 at Minetto Elementary to teach first grade. During her tenure in Oswego she has taught first and second grade; looping with her students some of those years. The remainder of her years has been spent teaching Kindergarten. She also participates in Professional Development workshops and classes on a regular basis and is a member of the Web-Development Team that maintains the StudyZone on Oswego.org through the Learning Technology Grant.
Bright red t-shirts emblazoned with “Behavior is Right†were donned by the faculty of the Minetto Elementary School as students arrived on opening day.
Oswego received over 10,500 freshman applications, up 38.8 percent since 2005. This means the college has been more selective with admissions, accepting 47 percent this year compared to 56 percent four years ago.
