The Oswego County Department of Social Services sponsors an orientation meeting every month for people interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents. The next meeting will be from 9 to 11 a.m. July 6, at Liberty Resources, 1850 Co. Rte. 57, Fulton.
Yesterday was nice and dry. Today should close out the month the same way.
The Parents of Special Children, Autism Connections group, will not meet during the summer months of July and August. The group will restart its regular monthly meetings again on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.

A joint investigation between the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Fulton Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a Fulton man who was involved in a murder-for-hire plot.
Robert C. Peck Sr., 64 of Fulton died Wednesday June 22, 2011, in St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse, after a brief illness.
