Helping Those in Need

Teresa Cady (l) and Charlotte Dodge (r) peer through the bags of food items that members of the Prince Of Peace Church in Fulton donated in support of Oswego Opportunities’ ‘Giving Tree.’  The congregation donated food for six families living in OCO’s homeless apartment program. Catholic Charities of Oswego County Announces Fresh Food Distribution

On Wednesday, December 9th the Emergency Services Program of Catholic Charities of Oswego County in cooperation with the Food Bank of Central New York will sponsor a fresh food distribution. Fresh foods and produce will be available, free of charge to those in need, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm or until food is gone. Please bring your own bags or boxes. I’m starting a new occasional feature — highlighting data that shines a light on our county and our communities.  Our governments produce floods of data.  We hope to spoon out a few ounces as it flows by and show you something you might not have known.
