Fulton to Press its Hospital Property Claim in Bankruptcy Court

Oswego Health wanted the city of Fulton to simply give up any right it might have to the land beneath the former Lee Memorial Hospital.  Citizens at a public meeting last week said the city should force Oswego Health to buy the land.

The city might just be splitting the difference with its decision Monday night to ask a bankruptcy court judge to make the land issue part of Lee Memorial’s bankruptcy proceeding.

Rotarians Hear About Urgent Care Expansion Plans

 Oswego Health’s Public Relations Manager, Marion Ciciarelli,  left, presented a program at a recent Fulton Rotary Club meeting.     Oswego Health announced earlier this month that they had received a $17  million grant to refurbish the former Fulton Hospital into an Urgent  Care Center.  On the first floor, the former patient rooms will become  the Urgent Care area, while the rest of the floor will become an  enhanced Xray, MRI, laboratory, and service area.  The basement level  will give the facility a new kitchen to service the adjacent nursing  home, laundry and physical therapy area.  The present Urgent Care Center  has handled over 20,000 patients during its first year. Program Chair,  Rotarian Betty Fadden, right, introduced Ms. Ciciarelli. Oswego Health Plans $17 Million Renovation of Former Lee Memorial Hospital to Fill Building with Services

Oswego Health CEO Ann Gilpin explains expansion plans for the  former Lee Memorial Hospital while video screens show drawings of the  work to be done.Oswego Health plans to turn the former Lee Memorial Hospital building into what its CEO calls “a shining star” of health care for the community.

CEO Ann Gilpin unveiled plans for a $17 million renovation of the building, which Oswego Health uses now for an urgent care center and some health services.
