Dozens of youngsters have turned out at the Red Planet Skate Park the past two Thursday nights. The business is offering special events, including bands, for teens. Organizers are talking with the youth about what else they can do in the future.
The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is accepting applications for its final round of funding for the 2008 mini-grant program. Grants of $500 to $2,000 will be awarded to community organizations that provide non-sectarian activities for youth during hours when school is not in session.
Not-for-profit organizations have until Oct. 22 to apply for grant funds through the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
