Volunteers from the Oswego County Teachers Association sort through school supplies collected during a previous United Way Stuff-A-Bus campaign. Members will once again join United Way volunteers in distributing school supplies from this year’s Stuff-A-Bus campaign.

The Stuff-A-Bus campaign, which began in June and will culminate on Aug. 10, was initiated to collect school supplies so that children in need throughout Oswego County would have the supplies they need to begin the new school year. The United Way is soliciting area businesses and individuals and have arranged for eight busses to be located throughout Oswego County where people will be able to donate school supplies.

Partnering with more than 20 business and organizations, as well as school districts throughout Oswego County, United Way of Greater Oswego County’s “Stuff-A-Bus” campaign collects donations of school supplies for distribution to less fortunate students throughout Oswego County.

“We are looking forward to seeing a positive response to our Stuff-A-Bus campaign, said coordinator Jo Ann Conzone of the Oswego City School District. “People and businesses have been very receptive to this year’s campaign. The donations we receive will go a long way in making sure that children in need in Oswego County will have the supplies they need to successfully begin the new school year.”

Volunteers from the Oswego County Teachers Association along with staff and volunteers from the United Way of Greater Oswego County will sort the collected supplies with a portion going to all of the school districts in Oswego County.
