Agnes Irene Dustman Kellogg, 99

HANNIBAL, NY – Agnes Irene Dustman Kellogg, 99, of Hannibal died Friday February 1, 2013, at University Hospital in Syracuse.

She was born on July 30, 1913, in Lyons to the late Arthur and Bessie Loveless Dustman and was a long-time resident of the Hannibal area.

Agnes retired after 32 years from Hannibal Central Schools in 1976 as assistant cafeteria manager and head cook.

She had graduated from Normal School and taught at a one room schoolhouse prior to starting a family.

She was a member of the Hannibal United Methodist Church and the Oswego Senior Citizens.

Agnes loved to dance, bake, garden, crochet and spend time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Kellogg; by a son, Gary Kellogg; and by a grandson, James Piseski.

Surviving: daughter, Joan (John) Piseski of Zephyrhills, Fla.; son, Ronald (Mary) Kellogg of Greenville, SC; daughter-in-law, Maryel Kellogg of Zephyrhills, Fla.; grandchildren, Melonye (Joe) MacCaull, Joe (Sharon) Piseski, Mark (Joanna) Kellogg, Eva (Bryant) Saunders, Sherri (Robert) Hudgins, Rhonda Kellogg and Rebecca (Joe) Harpold; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

A special thanks to Louise Kellogg who has been so helpful and thoughtful.

A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. with services to immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the Hannibal United Methodist Church, corner of West and Church streets, Hannibal.

Spring burial will be at Hannibal Village Cemetery.

Contributions may be made in Agnes’ name to Hannibal United Methodist Church, PO Box 89, Hannibal, 13074 or Friends of Oswego County Hospice PO Box 102, Oswego, 13126.

Barclay: It Is Time To Put More Teeth Into Assembly’s Ethics Committee After Latest Public Scandal

Traffic Safety Appreciation Award Presented

Mr. Dana Oliver, EMT with Menter Ambulance, received a Traffic Safety Appreciation Award from BC Brady, of the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board. Oliver learned that the Child Passenger Trailer needed a part and generously donated one to help keep the program moving and children riding as safely as possible.
