Local Cub Scout packs 809, 819, 885 and 888 went to G & G Reptile in Oswego to learn about different types of reptiles with a demonstration and hands on with the reptiles. They also got to tour the zoo while they were there and play games. Cub Scouts Learn About Reptiles The scouts were also asked to donate items for the zoo animals. On Thursday, the Oswego Fire Department units along with Animal Control personnel responded to a report of a deer stranded on the rock wall in the center of the river. Fire Department personnel responded in the fire/rescue boat and carefully eased the deer to shore to awaiting animal control personnel.
