Virginia Branagan, 80

Virginia Branagan, 80, a resident of 229 ½ East 2nd Street, Oswego, passed away, Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 at St. Luke Health Services.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Theresa (Taverne) Grasso.

She was self employed as a hair dresser at Virg’s Beauty Shop, Oswego.

Virginia was an avid reader, she enjoyed her computer, going to the casino and playing pinnacle with Rose and Rita.

Surviving is a daughter, Cathy (Richard) Losurdo of Oswego; one sister, Santa Rinaldo of Oswego; four grandchildren, Richard (Shelly) Losurdo, Jennifer Losurdo, Craig (Heather) Losurdo and Anthony (Cara) Losurdo; seven great grandchildren, Jessica Losurdo, Kassidy Losurdo, Alyssa Losurdo, Ashley Losurdo, Brandon Kells, Brielle Losurdo and Genna Losurdo.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Branagan; two brothers, Thomas and Benny Grasso; four sisters, Christine Talamo, Lena Consiglio, Angelina Gould and Mary Ponzi.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Oswego.

Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Friday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
