Harrison J. Noel, Jr.

Harrison J. Noel, Jr., 56, of Granby, died Wednesday surrounded by his family at home.

Born in Oswego, he was a life resident of the Fulton area. Harry retired from District Council #4, Painters Local # 38 after 35 years. He was vice president of Local #38 from May 2000 to September 2007.

Harry was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. Harry was a dedicated husband, father, brother and son, who loved his family very much. He was predeceased by his father, Harrison J. Noel, Sr. who died in 2007.

Surviving: his wife of 34 years, the former Darlene LaDue; two sons, Jacob and Harrison Noel III; mother, Jean Pontante; siblings, Debra (Harry) McDougall, Susan (Pontante) Cook, Norman Noel, John (Karen) Noel, Tina Noel; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.

  1. Hi Darlene, boys and rest of the family, I was so sorry to hear of Harrys passing. I didn’t know until my son came and told me as I don’t get the newspaper anymore. I am again sorry it took me so long to respond on this site and I won’t bore you with the whys but do know I have been thinking of you all.. Harrys suffering in done. I felt the same way last year if that helps any.Take care & God Bless you all. Love to all.

    Wife of 34 years, WOW! it seems like only yesterday that you looked out the window of the apt. in Brooklyn and saw Harry coming up the block. He came looking to bring you back home to Fulton. He did and the rest is history…..So very sorry for your loss.
