Shirley J. Edwards

Shirley J. Edwards, 89, of Fulton, died November 20, 2009.

A native of Oswego, Illinois, Mrs. Edwards lived in Mexico and Fulton most of her life. She retired from General Electric Company, Liverpool and had worked at Sealright Company, Fulton. Mrs. Edwards was a member of State Street United Methodist Church, Fulton. She was a former member of the Harmony Riders Western Riding Club, Parish. Mrs. Edwards was predeceased by her husband, William C. “Shorty” Edwards, who died in 1991.

Surviving are: two sons, Douglas (Linda) Edwards of Hannibal and David Edwards of Granby; three grandchildren, Lori (James) Reitmeier of New Haven, David Edwards, Jr. of Fulton and Daniel (Melissa) Edwards of Granby; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Holly Reitmeier, Hannah and Olivia Edwards; three nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
