“American Century,” the new album by pianist Robert Auler of SUNY Oswego’s music faculty, shows the impact of American jazz and vernacular in works for solo classical piano.
The trio — violinist Anthea Kreston, cellist Jason Duckles and pianist Rieko Aizawa — came together in 1999 and acquired Isaac Stern as a mentor after participating in the legendary violinist’s Chamber Music Workshop at Carnegie Hall in 2000.
