Riley Students Help Habitat For Humanity

Riley students support Habitat For Humanity

The Charles E. Riley Elementary School Student Council assisted dancers Jennifer and Brandon Lagoe in the effort to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity. The student council spearheaded a drive that brought $176 to benefit the humanitarian effort.

Riley Art Students Gain From Mortenson Visit

Several Charles E. Riley Elementary School students were on hand to greet visitors at the river’s end book store recently as students had their artwork, relating to the Greg Mortenson visit, on display. In front are Rufus Leo, Megan Delong and Emma Delong. In back are Linwei Chen, Alexa Quesnell, Michael Harris, Miranda Gilbert and art teacher Rebecca Woods.

Recently, when award-winning author and international humanitarian Greg Mortenson visited Oswego thousands heard him speak at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center. Nearly lost in the visit were the local artistic efforts by students at the Charles E. Riley Elementary School.
