Charity Begins At Home Rink For Oswego Hockey Team
The Oswego State Mens Club Hockey Team opened their 2008-09 season by hosting two charity games on September 19 and 20 at the Campus Center Rink on the OSU campus.

Cayuga CC Foundation to Present ‘James and the Giant Peach’ in Spoken and Sign Language
Bringing deaf and hearing actors and audiences together, and bringing a famous children’s story to life, two free performances of James and the Giant Peach will be presented in Auburn and Fulton by the Cayuga Community College Foundation.

Maxwell Family Believes 11-Year-Old’s Death Was Accidental, Lanza Says
A certificate of death confirms that 11-year-old Erin Maxwell died of asphyxia. What police are investigating as a homicide, the family believes was a tragic accident. Nearly a dozen representatives of the New York State Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs and Meals on Wheels programs from several counties met earlier this week to discuss the challenges each group is facing under current economic conditions and collaborate on strategies to manage those concerns.

Two Months Remain On Intersection Project
Work to widen the main intersection through the city of Fulton is nearing completion. So far, state Department of Transportation officials say there have been no significant problems with the project. If all goes as expected with the remaining work, it could be wrapped up by mid-November.
