The Need For Blood Hits Home

The director of the local Red Cross office experienced the need for blood from a personal perspective recently. Two blood drives are scheduled later this month for those willing to give the gift of life.

Jazz Concert at SUNY Oswego Celebrating 50th Anniversary of Landmark Albums

The Oswego State Jazz Ensemble and small groups will present a 50th anniversary tribute to some of the great jazz albums of 1959 at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

Ceremonies honoring the sacrifices of our veterans take place today.

In Fulton, the ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. at the park across the street from City Hall.Ã‚Â There’ll be a luncheon afterwards at the VFW on Cayuga St.

In Oswego, ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. in the community room at City Hall. A procession begins at 10:45 a.m. to Veterans Park in West Linear Park. The ceremony at the park begins at 11:00 a.m. VFW Post 569 hosts a luncheon afterwards.

Oswego Industries, Inc. Announces 3rd Quarter “Go Green!” Awards

This quarter’s awardees worked over the summer on a project that collected used boat wrap from marinas, processed it, and baled it for recycling. The company recycled over 10,000 pounds of plastic this year.
