Kim Davidson of Clifton Park, NY displays the quilt she crafted and donated to the Friends of Oswego County Hospice. This quilt will be raffled off as part of the Friends’ fundraising efforts during National Hospice Month.

Oswego County officials have joined with the state Canal Corporation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for assistance in battling the water chestnut plant, an invasive species which is rapidly spreading in the Oswego River.

Forensic Psychiatrist to Present Child Welfare Program at SUNY Oswego
SUNY Oswego’s Division of Extended Learning on Nov. 18 will present a workshop on preventing filicide, the deliberate act of parents killing their own son or daughter. The workshop will be in Sheldon Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Quirk’s Players To Present Fast-Paced Farce This Weekend
Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School will begin their 2009-2010 season with the fast-paced farce, Don’t Tell Mother! Performances will be held Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th in the G. Ray Bodley High School Auditorium. Curtain time is set for 7:30 pm both evenings.
