BREAKING NEWS: At approximately 12:52 a.m. today (March 14), the Oswego City Police Department responded with Oswego Fire DepartmentÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Emergency Medical Services to Mercer Street near 10 Ã‚Â½ Street on the cityÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s eastside. They found a 44-year-old woman with what appeared to be severe head injuries. She was pronounced dead at Oswego Hospital.

Legislature Affirms Opposition To Wind Farm Project

The Oswego County Legislature voted Thursday to oppose a New York Power Authority project that would locate dozens of huge wind turbines in Lake Ontario. The vote was 20-4-1. Nearly 30 members of the Oswego County and surrounding area spoke about the pros and cons of the project for about two hours before the vote.
