Fulton Rotarians Hear About School Lunch Program

Terry Warwick, left, was introduced to the Fulton Rotary Club by Rotarian Jerry Seguin, right, in the above photo.  Terry explained to the Rotarians the Fulton Lunch Program.  The lunch program feeds children breakfast and lunch.  Over 4,500 meals are served each day.  About 60 per cent of the meals are "free or reduced lunches."  The restrictions on what kind of food is served have changed greatly since Ms. Warwick started as Lunch Manager some 15 years ago.  The requirements on avoiding fatty foods and foods that affect allergies has changed greatly.  Nearly all foods served today are certified as being raised organic.  The computer plays a large part in managing the lunch program today.  All of the Rotarians agreed that the $1.90 the 7th-12th grade students paid for their hot lunch was a bit higher than when they attended schoolThe lunch program feeds children breakfast and lunch. Syracuse Symphony Musicians to Join ‘Homage to Piano Trio’

Cristina Buciu, violinist from the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, pictured, will join the symphony's principal cellist, David LeDoux, and concert pianist Rob Auler of SUNY Oswego in "Homage to the Piano Trio" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, in the college's Sheldon Hall ballroom.   SUNY Oswego pianist Rob Auler will team with two Syracuse Symphony Orchestra musicians in “Homage to the Piano Trio,” a Wednesday, Nov. 10, concert in SUNY Oswego’s Ke-Nekt Chamber Music Series.

Ryan Honored on Retirement from County

Jacalyn Ryan, employee benefits specialist for the Oswego County Personnel Department, announced she will retire after 26 years of dedicated service to Oswego County government. She was presented a certificate of appreciation and received a standing ovation from the Oswego County Legislature. Fulton Rotarians Hear About Child Advocacy Center

Charrise St. Onge, left, introduced Karrie Damm, right, to the Fulton Rotary Club.  Karrie is the Director of theOswego County Child Advocacy Center.  The Child Advocacy Center has recently moved to a new home at 301 Beech Street in Fulton.  The Rotarians learned that the mission of the federally funded Child Advocacy Center is to protect our children by education, investigation, and counseling.
