OHS Swimmers Recognized For Record-Setting Efforts

A quartet of Oswego High School swimmers was recognized by the Oswego City School District Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools at the most recent meeting.

A fund-raiser will be held at the Fajita Grill at both Oswego and Fulton locations on March 29 to benefit the Oswego County Autism Task Force.

Patrick Dewine of Friendly’s Restaurant in Oswego was honored recently at the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Salute to Volunteers.

The Oswego City Police Department has made another arrest as a result of the search warrant executed March 4 at 8 Niagara St., which also included “The Pet Store,” 388 W. First St. On March 21, at 1:15 p.m., James W. Libbey-Stone, 23, of 34 E. Albany St., Oswego, was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.

As a result of execution of search warrants, evidence was seized from two locations consisting of nearly $12,000 in cash, approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana, numerous prescription narcotics and numerous items of paraphernalia commonly used in the production and sale of illegal drugs.
The Oswego YMCA is launching its Strong Kids Campaign to financially support individuals and families in need, so that they can participate in YMCA programs and services.
With Spring and Summer just around the corner, Holy Trinity Parish is thinking “Festival Time.” The County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Addictions, Inc. and Farnham Family Services recently collaborated to bring a concessions TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) workshop to several Holy Trinity Parishioners.
