“We look at commencement as a beginning,” said OHS Principal Brian Hartwell. “It doesn’t mean we’re going to forget old friendships but you look forward to the rest of your life and you start to live your life. It’s exciting; it really is exciting.” The speakers told the class to never forget the friends they made in high school – but to also go out into the world and make new friends and achieve great things.

The H. Lee White Marine Museum Complex, located on the West First Street Pier in Oswego’s Historic Maritime District, is open Monday – Sunday, 1 – 5 p.m. through the end of June and will extend to 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. throughout July and August.

Mary Agnes Miller, 96, a resident of Minetto, NY, passed away Wednesday June 22, 2011, at the home of her daughter, in Hingham, Massachusetts. She was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Albert M. and Mary Grace (Coatta) McHenry.
Alleged Murder-For-Hire Plot Busted
A joint investigation between the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Fulton Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a Fulton man who was involved in a murder-for-hire plot.
