Cayuga’s New Kids Camp Engages Young Minds in Summertime Learning and Fun

Participants at Kids at Cayuga summer camp take a lunch break. Approximately 40 youths participated in the weeklong camp and took courses that covered everything from computers to cooking to bug identification to Broadway-style dancing.One camper, a native of Peru who moved to the region two years ago, said that she didn’t know anyone when she came to this, her first summer camp, but that she made many friends and doesn’t want it to end.

Oswego Lions Club Helps United Way Stuff-A-Bus

The Oswego Lions Club recently presented the United Way of Greater Oswego with a check in support of the agency’s Stuff-A-Bus campaign. In front from left are: Teresa Ross of the Central Square School District; Helen Hoefer of Catholic Charities of Oswego County; Cathy Smith of the Hannibal School District; and Aimee Goulette of Oswego County Opportunities. Standing from left are: Morgan Mears of the United Way; Executive Director of the United Way Melanie Trexler; coordinator of the Stuff-A-Bus campaign, Jo Ann Conzone of the Oswego City School District; and Mike Henderson of the Oswego Lions Club.

The United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Stuff-A-Bus Campaign received some much welcomed support recently when the Oswego Lions Club made a donation of $500.
