Fulton Speed Demons Meet the Oneonta Orcas

The Fulton YMCA Speed Demons traveled to Oneonta recently to swim against the Oneonta Orcas.   During the meet, several Fulton swimmers were recognized as swimmers of the week:  Jayda Borrow, Angel Corci, Andrew Dedich, Thomas Distin, Emily Grant, Jesse Janes, Jaden Patterson, Alex Semchenko, Dakota Stoutenger, and Grace Trepasso.   The Speed Demons will be meeting the Watertown Blue Sharks for their next swim meet at their home pool in Granby Elementary School in Fulton. During the meet, several Fulton swimmers were recognized as swimmers of the week.

Fire, Police Departments New Hires, Promotions Announced

Oswego Police Chief Tory DeCaire, left, pins a sergeant's badge on Chance Fieldson who was among the police officers promoted on Monday. Six firefighters were also sworn in, with one being promoted to lieutenant.The Oswego Fire Department gained five new firefighters and a lieutenant Monday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Oswego Police Department saw four of its members promoted to the rank of sergeant. Oswego Police Chief Tory DeCaire acted as master of ceremonies for the program.

Oswego County BOCES (OCB) student Nathan Huffman enjoys a spin on the dance floor with OCB adaptive physical education teacher Kelly Schulz during the school’s annual Holiday Dance at the Fulton War Memorial.
