Oswego Hospital Dedicates Operating Room to William Mahon, MD

To recognize the more than 30 years that William A. Mahon, M.D., dedicated to his patients, Oswego Hospital and its surgery center staff, the healthcare facility has named an operating room in his honor. Pictured with the plaque outside operating room two are Ophthalmologist Ivan Proano, M.D., president of the Oswego Hospital medical staff, and Jane Nalle, R.N., clinical manager of the surgery center.To recognize the more than 30 years that William A. Report: St.Luke Health Services is Major Economic Player

The St. Luke Healthcare campus located on East Road in Oswego. Pictured is St. Luke Health Services and affiliate Bishop’s Commons Enriched Living Residence. Together with Michaud Residential Health Services located in Fulton, NY, the affiliates provide care and services to over 350 people, and together employ over 470 in the community. Also shown in the photo is Little Lukes Childcare Center, also located on the healthcare campus.A new report shows that St. Luke Health Services is a powerful player in the local economy, contributing $43 million to the regional annually.

Oz Roller Girls Start Second Season With Win

Oz will have their next home bout on March 10th at the Oswego Armory where they host the Kingston Derby Girls from Canada. Exhibition of Cast-paper Woodcuts to Celebrate Brooklyn’s Energy

 SUNY Oswego will exhibit prints from the cast-paper woodcuts of artist Stewart Nachmias, whose "Latest Coney" print celebrates the heyday of Coney Island amusement park in southern Brooklyn. The often-frenetic energy and color of the borough are frequent subjects for his graphic techniques. Concurrent displays of Nachmias' work and that of the 49th annual Juried Student Art Exhibition will run Jan. 27 to March 3 in Tyler Art Gallery's south and north wings, respectively.SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Art Gallery will open an exhibition on Friday, Jan. 27, of the cast-paper woodcuts and prints of Brooklyn’s Stewart Nachmias, whose work conveys the zest and humanity of urban life.
