The employees and management at Price Chopper #226 volunteered for and participated in a myriad events recently to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Their Shamrocks for MDA campaign was augmented by other events and they raised the most money in the chain for the second year in a row, their manager said.

Oswego athletes are in full swing as there have been numerous successful teams and individuals during the early portion of the spring sports season. The Oswego girls’ track team, picked up its first win of the season Tuesday, beating the host Lady Cougars of Corcoran by the score of 79-61.

Michele A. Halstead, 56, of Fulton, passed away Monday April 23, 2012, at University Hospital in Syracuse after a long battle with multiple cancers.

Following an extensive investigation, Fulton Police investigators arrested Peter J. Maliszewski, 40 of Canastota, and Joseph Fetkiw Jr., 35 of West Third Street, Fulton, in connection with several felonies, including robbery, burglary, assault, and grand larceny.
On Thursday at 7 p.m., a 17-year-old boy residing in the city of Fulton was charged with sexual misconduct, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree criminal contempt, all class A misdemeanors.
