The Oswego County Historical Society will have a Lawn Sale & Ice Cream Social on June 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Richardson-Bates House Museum, 135 E. Third St., in Oswego.
The donation will help kick start the city’s lifejacket loaner program. It was made in honor of their brother, John, who drowned in the eastern harbor in the city at the age of 21. The council also approved selling a piece of property to Tony Pauldine.
The west side Port City ward has problems with tall grass and garbage in some areas. In some locations, residents have to suffer through “huge, crazy, wild parties at all hours of the night,” the councilor said.
