The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will hold its
17th Annual Salmon River Hatchery Open House and Family Day on Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held in conjunction with the celebration of “National Hunting and Fishing Day.”
The $2 million grant will significantly reduce the town’s costs in constructing the $9.96 million project. EFC has also determined that West Monroe is eligible for up to $8 million in interest-free financing through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
With so many different levels of government and numerous elected officials that represent all or parts of this region, a resource is needed to help the voters of Oswego County navigate the sometimes complicated process of identifying all of their elected officials from their city/town levels all the way to the federal government and understand their responsibilities.

At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Donald J. Martin Jr., 35, of 603 County Route 30, Apt. 4, Williamstown, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child. He is alleged to have smoked Amped in the presence of a child.
