I extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who lent their support to the United Way’s second annual Stone Soup Luncheon held recently at the Pulaski American Legion Post 358. Our theme for this year’ luncheon was ‘Break bread, warm your heart, and gather with friends to support local food pantries.’
Fulton residents may have noticed construction vehicles outside the former Nestles complex along Fay Street. According to Mayor Ron Woodward, the most recently constructed building, which was built in 1995, is being taken down. The current owner of site, Ed Palmer, has received permits from the city of Fulton for this project.
Iroquois False Face Masks were displayed in the Charles E. Riley hallways. This was part of an art and writing project by the students of Judy Mooney, Meg McLaughlin, Jessica Anderson and Becky Woods. This was part of the fourth grade curriculum.

Willard J. “Wink” Whitney, 92, of Phoenix, passed away at his home on Friday May 3, 2013.
The Fulton City School District will be holding an open registration night for the district’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten program on June 6.The event will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Fulton Education Center, 167 S. Fourth St., and will feature a free performance by the Twin Magicians as well as complimentary snacks.
