The Oswego County Fair Housing Council recently announced the winners of its 2013 coloring contest. Community Bank, Fulton Savings Bank, Pathfinder Bank and Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego each donated gift certificates as prizes.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, 1 in 4 women will experience abuse in their lifetime and nearly 1 in 5 women have been raped at some point in their life. In an effort to raise awareness and promote the efforts of men ending violence against women, Services to Aid Families, a program of Oswego County Opportunities, is launching its White Ribbon Campaign.
The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic for cats, dogs, and pet ferrets from 6 to 8 p.m. July 10, at the Oswego County Highway Garage, Dill Pickle Alley, Parish. New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and pet ferrets be vaccinated against rabies.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Infrastructure, Facilities and Technology Committee presented Margaret Mahaney with a certificate of appreciation for her 25 years of service to the county.

Clifford “Cliff” E. Woolridge, 80, of Phoenix, passed away on Saturday June 29, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
