On Wednesday 8/21, I was shocked and disgusted to read Fred Beardsley’s public comments in regards to the County Treasurer’s election court case. He said and I quote: “It`s obvious there was an effort to blatantly disregard the rules and laws regarding the filing of petitions.” To say that this is worse than the pot calling the kettle black would be an extreme understatement.
The Oswego County Health Department joined with OCO Rural Health Network of Oswego County to present a six-week program for those managing chronic disease. The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program was developed by Stanford University Patient Education Research Center and promoted nationwide as an evidence-based program.

With the shifting of The BUC School to the Education Center the Board of Education will meet at the Oswego High School Media Center (formerly the library). The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Oswego City School District Board of Education will be August 27 with the call to order scheduled for 5 p.m.
Graham Racing announced this week their intentions to field a Novelis Supermodified entry for winged sprint car veteran Jessica Zemken in the 57th running of the Budweiser International Classic 200 at Oswego Speedway on Labor Day weekend. Zemken will join Sheila Hayes and Jennifer Chesbro as the only women to attempt to qualify for Supermodified racing’s most historical and largest paying event.

The mission of the Rural Health Network of Oswego County in part is to improve the quality, affordability, and availability of health care services in the county by focusing key resources to address specific health care priorities and to strengthen the local health care system.
The supplies were collected during the United Way’s/Oswego County Schools Annual Stuff-A-Bus Campaign. It provides children in need throughout Oswego County with the supplies they need to begin the new school year.
District 7150 District Governor Dennis Schonewetter, a member of the Sherrill Rotary Club, recently made his annual visit to the Fulton Noon Rotary Club. DG Schonewetter was greeted by club president Jerry Seguin and accompanied by his wife, Donna Schonewetter.
Brandon Wrobel, account executive with the Syracuse Crunch, presented Karrie Damm, executive director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, with an official hockey stick signed by team members of the 2013 Calder Cup finalist Syracuse Crunch. It will be available as part of the drawings during the post Blue Ribbon Ride celebration.
