The Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning is compiling a list of events and activities to include in its “Winter in Oswego County” brochure. The brochure will list events in Oswego County that take place between Nov. 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.
Maybe if the Republicans want to be honest with the taxpayers, they will disclose the names of all the friends and relatives they’ve gotten jobs for, and those they created positions for.

A Taste NY Trail will guide visitors throughout the fairgrounds as they taste, sample and judge a variety of New York made products from wine and beer to maple and dairy to fresh fruits and vegetables. Leon’s Farm Market and Ashley Lynn Winery out of New Haven will be actively involved throughout the “Taste NY” experience.
I was talking to my neighbor (who to be honest is sort of an animal nut, if you know what I mean) and she mentioned that she fosters dogs for the Humane Society and then she tried to talk me into fostering too. I love dogs too, but I can hardly imagine taking one in for several weeks or even longer and then letting it go to another home.
The Common Council this week approved moving forward with the Hamilton Park Project. Councilor Eric VanBuren had requested approval for the project. It will include a new PlaySense Design, Swing Frame with bucket seats and a Saddle Spinner.
This summer, AmeriCorps member Daisy Ruiz has been working with the Oswego YMCA Day Camp at Camp Hollis. Oswego County AmeriCorps focuses on health and nutrition.
Dorothy Carter, 89, of Fulton, passed away peacefully Thursday evening August 15, 2013, at the Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville.
Theresa Lynn Marie Moshier, 43, a resident of Siembor Drive passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2013, at her home.
