Section III Class A volleyball champion Oswego will meet defending state champion Burnt Hills on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cicero-North Syracuse High School gym in the regionals for the state tournament. On Tuesday evening the Oswego girls defended the sectional title with a three-game sweep of Fulton.
Sandy Creek senior soccer player Kylie Hanni was named a Section III Class C All-Star for the third year in a row. Hanni has played on the Sandy Creek girls’ Varsity Soccer team since eighth grade and has served as one of the captains of the team since tenth grade.
Helen M. Bacon, 95, a resident of Meadowbrook Manor passed away on Wednesday November 6, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.
On Monday, a group of nearly sixty representatives from Brewerton and Fulton Speedway Modified and Sportsman race teams filled the Radisson Ale House for a planning meeting with track owner John Wight and Track Marketing Director, Cory Reed. Wight and Reed laid out their plans for 2014 for both Brewerton and Fulton and provided thoughts for further discussion.
This grant will enable LCOC to contract with a research company to undertake a comprehensive survey and analysis that will identify the barriers to increasing literacy in Oswego County.
Fulton Rotary Club President Jerry Seguin thanked Gary Bogner, Ontario District Executive for the Boys Scouts of America. Gary talked about scouting at a recent meeting of the Fulton Noon Rotary Club.
