Oswego County Opportunities, a non-profit agency that offers 50 programs and serves hundreds of families and individuals throughout Oswego County, has teamed with Amazon.com’s AmazonSmile program that will allow you to do just that.

Oswego County Health Department Advises Residents Affected by Sandy Pond Flooding

Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang advises residents and property owners near North and South Sandy Ponds to be aware of signs of flood damage to septic systems, wells, and homes. General information on what to do during and following a severe weather event or power outage, and how to prepare for severe weather events and power outages, is contained in the NYS Department of Health’s publication “Don’t Be Left in the Dark.”

The Oswego County Comets Motorcycle Riding Club recently held its annual area-wide Food Drive; collecting donations of non-perishable food items to help the food pantry at Mexico’s First Presbyterian Church meet the needs of all those in the community seeking assistance.

APW NJHS Collects More Than 1,000 Pounds of Donations for Food Pantries

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society coordinated a community service project that generated more than a half-ton of shelf-stable food donations for local food pantries in the school district’s communities. Donations were collected by homeroom and the homerooms with the most donations, in net weight, were treated to a donut party.

APW Senior High School All-County Chorus Honored

Eighteen Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior High School students have been selected to participate in the Oswego County Music Educators’ Association All-County Chorus Festival on April 4 and 5.
