Oswego County Health, Highway Departments Distribute Nearly 29,000 Boxes of Girl Scout Cookies for SNS Exercise

As the March 12 weather forecast progressed from a winter storm to a blizzard warning, Oswego County government employees and community volunteers unloaded a tractor trailer load of Girl Scout cookies and sorted and delivered them to about 25 scout troops in the Oswego, New Haven, Mexico and Parish areas. When all was said and done, a total of 28,980 boxes of cookies had been accounted for and delivered.

Oswego Bows Out Of The Postseason

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team ended its postseason run with a close 2-1 loss to University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the 2014 NCAA Division III national semifinals on Friday night. Oswego finishes the season 22-7-2 while the Pointers improve to 22-5-2 and advance to Saturday’s championship game.

Grant Expected to Give Hannibal Schools a Boost

Through the grant, which was awarded by the State Education Department, Hannibal will receive $200,000. Other districts also slated to receive funding include Oswego and Phoenix, which helped write the grant as well. School officials in Hannibal are allocating the funds to create district-wide career ladders for teachers and principals.

Hong Kong is often our entry city into Asia. It is a wonderful place to visit so we usually plan to spend three or more days there getting adjusted to the time difference. Hong Kong is comprised of Kowloon Peninsula and 100s of islands. Getting from the airport on Chek Lao Kok Island to the Conrad Hotel on Hong Kong Island was very smooth as it always is in HK.
