The production staff of the new musical ‘Robbin Hood’ is not pleased with the reviews that have been published in the Boston papers. They attribute the terrible reviews to the horrible performance of their leading lady and fear that their show is doomed and will never be able to open on Broadway. The scene is from Quirk’s Players’ 2014 musical, Curtains, which plays this weekend in the G. Ray Bodley High School Auditorium.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee recently presented Pam Austin with a certificate of appreciation for her 30 years of service. Austin is a senior support examiner at the Oswego County Department of Social Services.
Assemblyman Will Barclay was joined March 4 by fellow lawmakers from the state Senate and Assembly and Upstate Poison Control officials at a press conference to ban synthetic drugs. Joining these officials at the press conference was Teresa Woolson and her family, who are advocating for stronger laws regarding synthetic drug use. In 2012, Woolson’s son, Victor, died from injuries related to synthetic drug use.
The Step One Creative Peewee independent hockey team won the 2014 Perinton Big Thaw Hockey Tournament this past weekend in Fairport, New York.
Student actors and actresses, under the direction of Director MaryAnn House, will bring to life Richard Bissell’s comic novel Seven and a Half Cents, about labor relations in a pajama factory. It’s a family friendly show filled with great songs and lots of dancing.
