Oswego YMCA to Launch New Indoor Cycling Program With Innovative Cycles

Oswego YMCA is excited to announce the addition of 15 new Keiser M Series indoor cycles this fall. The introduction of these innovative indoor cycles will deliver a superior ride for Y members that feel just like an actual road bike. The unique feature of the Keiser M Series bike includes the on bike computer.

Oswego Adds Vacant Building Code To City Charter

The Port City had no local law dealing with the blight of vacant buildings, until Monday. The council voted unanimously to approve the amendment to the Code of the City of Oswego, Chapter 85, Buildings, Vacant. The amendment addresses vacant buildings. Buildings that are not being occupied, are unsecured and basically abandoned, explained Connie Cosemento, chair of the Quality of Life Committee.

Fulton Junior High School ramps up robotics course

With a successful robotics program in place at Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School, the district is looking to spark an interest in technology among the younger students, thanks to a new robotics course at Fulton Junior High School. The class will span the entire school year and is part of Gateway to Technology, a nationwide feeder program for Project Lead the Way.
