Pulaski Health Center Expands Pediatric Services

Northern Oswego County Health Services, Inc., announces the expansion of pediatric services at its Pulaski Health Center. NOCHSI recruited pediatrician Megan Pecha, MD, in September 2013. Dr. Pecha practiced at NOCHSI’s Sandy Creek School-Based Health Center during the 2013-2014 school year. She is now building her pediatric practice at the Pulaski Health Center.

An Oswego Marching Buccaneer tradition continues as another Marching Buc will perform in the national spotlight. The 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour will visit Oswego High School the week of Sept. 29 to select band a member to the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. This year, the honor goes to Kylie Pelkey – a member of our color guard, said Scott Ciesla, OHS’s band director.

Staff from Across the St. Luke Healthcare Campus Complete Emergency Preparedness, Safety Training

September is National Preparedness Month and staff at St. Luke Health Services, St. Francis Commons and Bishop’s Commons recently completed annual emergency and safety training exercises across the healthcare campus. Russell Phillips & Associates, a Rochester-based consulting firm with expertise in fire and disaster preparation and prevention provided the training.

New turf field, stadium under construction near Romney Field House

Oswego State student-athletes and the college’s athletics department are looking forward to all of the opportunities and benefits that a new turf field and stadium will bring starting next summer. Construction recently began for an NCAA-compliant, 225- by 360-foot all-weather synthetic turf field along with a press box, bleachers and full stadium lighting to be completed by the summer of 2015, according to Susan Viscomi, the college’s director of athletics.
