Residents at Morningstar Residential Care Center enjoyed their daily exercise activity as they participated in a lively session of Noodlecise. Lively music and floating balloons kept the residents busy as they used their foam noodles to keep the balloons in the air.
“The Wizard of Oz” will be presented in December as an all-youth production by arrangement with Lifehouse Productions. Auditions for the musical will be held September 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center’s current location, 357 State St. (use the Park Street entrance).
The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund will launch its annual fundraising campaign this fall with a goal of reaching and surpassing $15,000 in donations to be matched by the John Ben Snow Memorial Trust. The Trust pledged to provide a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $15,000, of contributions received on or before December 15, 2014. This yields a potential for $30,000 of growth in a permanent endowment that solely supports local projects.

At about 2:45 a.m. today (Sept. 21), members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Mexico Fire Department and McFee Ambulance responded to State Route 104 in the town of Mexico, near George Road, for a single-car motor vehicle collision. The investigation is pending identification of the decedent and notification of next of kin.
The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a four-part Internet Basics workshop on October 1, 8, 15 and 22. Each class is free and runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
Officials at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego and Michaud Residential Health Services in Fulton announced Friday (Sept. 19) that tentative contract agreements have been reached with Service Employees International Union (SEIU 1199) Upstate. SEIU 1199 represents service and maintenance employees at both facilities. St. Luke and Michaud are affiliated not-for-profit, community-based healthcare organizations. The previous contract agreements expired July 31.
The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
