Arlene Bauer and Mark Craig recently surprised Carolyn Handville, supervisor of Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Services Program, with a donation of $400. The funds were raised during the eighth annual Roy Craig Memorial golf tournament held at Cold Springs Golf Course in Mannsville.

Cast Selected For Jekyll-Hyde
Troy Pepper, director of the next Oswego Players’ next production, has selected the cast for the play “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” Leading the cast in the title role will be Knate MacKenzie-Roy who finished a role in the just closed “Who’s On First?”

Recently Cadette Girl Scouts from troop 10461 scraped and painted the picket fence around the grave of Dr. Mary Walker in the Rural Cemetery. Many parents and siblings helped. Our troop is committed to doing community service projects.

Mom Marathons To Benefit Those Who’ve Assisted Her Children
Julie Chetney will be running 26 miles next month in the Marine Corps Marathon. “I am a mother to four great amazing kids. And like most mothers, I tell them we are blessed with what God has given us every day for our family – even if it’s the struggles day in and day out with Type 1 Diabetes,” she said. Her effort will help raise awareness and funds for The Joslin Diabetes Center. Professionals at the center have been a Godsend to her and her family over the years, she said.

Oswego County Health Department Will Hold Rabies Clinic Oct. 8 in Pulaski
The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic for cats, dogs, and pet ferrets from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Oswego County Highway Garage, 957 Centerville Road, Pulaski. New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and pet ferrets be vaccinated against rabies.
