Oswego Rotary recently hosted Jordan Karp from the Adirondack Distilling Company. Karp is one of the original founding members of the distillery. Doors opened in the fall of 2012 with a mission to produce New York’s finest handcrafted spirits.

National Grid supports the cause of literacy in Oswego County as a 2014 ‘Making a Difference’ sponsor of the eighth annual Diane Falise Memorial Scrabble Fest fundraiser for Literacy Volunteers. “We greatly appreciate this generous, continued support and partnership with National Grid,” said Diane Cooper-Currier, executive director of Oswego County Opportunities. “They have been a considerable advocate of OCO over the years and we are thrilled to have them participate again this year.”

On October 28, Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training and SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations will gather women from across New York State for Connections, a day-long conference to be held at River Vista Center in Fulton from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This day-long symposium is something you won’t want to miss. Women employees and business owners need inspiration, ideas, information, and other women to network with.

The United Baptist Church of Scriba, located at 5111 State Route 104E, will have a coffeehouse on September 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. The band Lost and Found will be playing its unique blend of Christian contemporary hits from today and yesterday. Free refreshments will be provided during intermission.

New business is opening in the Oswego City. After Staples closing there was left only one computer repair shop in the city. With PC Masters opening a store in the city you will have another option.
