On September 20, the Volney History Center will host a teaching seminar on headstone rubbings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Volney Town Hall on Route 6, Volney Center. Carrie Butler and daughters, JoAnn and Peg, will give a presentation on how to read headstone illegible wordings.
Rotarian Bridgette Seguin introduced Bob Wallace, CEO of Eastern Shore Associates. Bob has been involved in the insurance business for many years. Bob is one of the founders of Eastern Shore Associates and is the only original partner still actively working with the company.
The Pulaski Historical Society will host the Pulaski Academy and Central School History Club at its September 24 meeting at 7 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public. The History Club will present the program “The PACS History Club: Past, Present and Future.”
Thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation and dozens of local volunteers and supporters, four-year-old Sadie Wilson and her twin sister, Layla, will be headed to Disney World in a couple of months. The girls were surprised by the announcement on Sunday at a special ceremony at the Kingsford House.
