Sure they like finding candy in weird places and trying to scarf it up before you can catch them, but then they get sick from all those sweets and you have vomit in strange colors all over your carpet.

Fulton Community Theatre Presents Last of the Red Hot Lovers

Neil Simon’s classic comedy about the foibles of middle age comes to Fulton this November as Fulton Community Theatre proudly presents “Last of the Red Hot Lovers.” The play, which closes out FCT’s 24th season, will run weekends, November 8, 9, 15, and 16 at Tavern On The Lock, 24 S. First St. The comedy will be presented as a dinner theatre offering, with Saturday dinners beginning at 6 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. showtime.

Hannibal High School Band Members Part of Elite Group

The Greater Syracuse Honors Youth Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band performed music by contemporary composers Robert W. Smith, Frank Ticheli, Samuel Hazo and Richard Saucedo, representing a variety of styles and moods. Participating from Hannibal High School were Blake Farnham on alto saxophone, Amanda Miano on clarinet and Vanessa Waldron on flute, all students of Shirley Terrinoni.

SUNY Oswego partner in competition encouraging apps supporting CNY

SUNY Oswego is a partner in the first-ever AT&T Central New York Civic App Challenge, a “virtual hackathon” encouraging developers to solve local issues by building smartphone apps that serve Central New Yorkers. Winners will receive cash prizes totaling $18,000 under the challenge, which is facilitated by Hack Upstate and will run until Nov. 11. Journey begins for Journey of Faith United Methodist Church

Under the leadership of Pastor Elyse Skiles, Journey of Faith United Methodist Church has been more than a year-long undertaking, formed from the merging of two previous United Methodist churches, Oswego Center UMC and Southwest Oswego UMC. Following the ribbon cutting, church members and guests from the community entered the church to share a worship service and hear congratulatory messages from pastors and invited dignitaries.
